It was really nice to get away, and spend some time with family (Mom and Ray) and friends (Veda, Brooke, and little Dutch!).

We got to see long lost friends Veda and Brooke and meet little Dutch for the first time! Dutch celebrated his 1st birthday with us on the 4th of July!!
The babies got to play together (not pictured: Kian bashing Dutch on the head and making him cry):
The condo had toddler-height light switches in the kitchen!
We went on an awesome 4th of July hike to a beautiful view point over the lake.

After being in such a beautiful location, and getting to be with Kian around the clock for four days, coming back to work is definitely not easy.
We're dealing by counting down to the Choate Family Reunion in two weeks!
