First Hair Cut

It was a big day today: Kian got his first haircut!

We went to this place up the street from us called "First Cut 4 Kids": http://www.firstcut4kids.com/ They have planes to sit in and even Elmo videos to watch!

Pretty sweet, right? In case anyone is interested, they see adults too. You may have to sit in a chair instead of a plane, but I bet they'd let you watch Elmo.

Kian seemed to like parts of it....

Other parts not so much!

It even got a little ticklish at times ....

But having Elmo on helped, and he really did awesome for his first hair cut ever (and the lady who cut his hair did good, too).

Bravo, Kian!!

And so another milestone passes ... it's a little bittersweet! How many more "firsts" do we have left? And why does it seem like it is going by so fast??? I am working on staying in the moment and enjoying every minute while it is here though.

The salon also gave us this certificate and a little envelope with a lock of his baby hair - I will be sure to save it with his baby albums!

Kian, we love you.

No....

We normally watch Sesame Street until it's time for breakfast, and then we pause it and watch the rest afterward.

Well, Kian was not feeling very into that plan this morning (we think he's a little out of sorts from having all of his molars coming in at once), and he had one word for us that pretty much summed it all up!

Check out the video:

As they taught us in the Garden of Angels parenting class though, "no" really just means "choice"! At least that's what we tell ourselves.

Grandparents

Both Naysan and I were blessed to know each of our grandparents, and we treasure our memories of time spent with them. Now that you, our parents, have become grandparents in your own right (some of you several times over, and some for the first time), we feel blessed all over again watching Kian's memories of time spent with you being formed too. He is so lucky to have four sets of wonderful human beings for his grandparents! As he grows up, we look forward to building a memory library for him that is full of beautiful, tender, silly and loving moments with each of you.
